The 54 Kingdoms Kulture

It's a Kulture, Not a Brand!

FASHION! Fashion isn’t something that only exists in the design studio, on the runway or in high end boutiques. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, in the environment we live in. Fashion has to do with the way we live, history; what happened then, what’s happening now, and what we invent for the future. Fashion shouldn’t be just about aesthetics; it should be the thread that interweaves our culture and identity, into the fabric of life that displays the pattern of our pride and self-expression.

When you blend fashion with culture and identity, you dress for a PURPOSE! – 54 Kingdoms

At 54 Kingdoms, It's All About You

Giving Back

54 KINGDOMS places a premium on being a good corporate citizen by working to enrich the communities in which we live and work.  In 2009, 54 Kingdoms incorporated a Community Outreach Initiative (C.O.I.) policy. Each year, through donations and/or collaborations, the company works with an existing non-profit organization serving people and communities within the African Diaspora. The primary focus of the C.O.I. includes: Education, Positive Youth Development, Human Rights and HIV/AIDS.

It's not uncommon for 54 Kingdoms and its employees to participate in fundraisers or to volunteer their time to community causes. 54 Kingdoms is a brand with a conscience, a brand that cares –

Giving back to our communities is a necessary and fundamental part of the work we do everyday:

Ghana Youth Forum (Ghana, Africa)

Ghana Youth ForumSince 2009, 54 Kingdoms continues to sponsor the Ghana Youth Forum; a nationwide youth forum in Ghana that engages the youth in national issues, governance and contribute to the decision making process of the nation. As natives of Ghana, both the C.E.O. and President of 54 Kingdoms are among the Board of Directors driving this effort to help young people in Ghana acquire the skills, self-confidence, and opportunity to participate fully, freely, and responsibly in the life of the community.

Edeyo Foundation (Haiti, Caribbean)

Edeyo FoundationEducation for the children of African descent is very dear to 54 Kingdoms. Hence our partnership with Edeyo Foundation came very natural following the January 2010 Earthquake in Haiti. The Edeyo foundation (literally meaning “Help Them” in Haitian Creole) is an independent, nonprofit 501 C3 registered organization based in New York City. Edeyo was founded in 2007 and established the Joyous Heart School in Bel-Air (Port-au-Prince) serving approximately 300 students aged 3 – 12 and providing uniforms and one nutritious meal a day. This school was completely destroyed in the earthquake of January 2010, killing six students. In efforts to build a new sustainable community school, 54 Kingdoms in collaboration with Addicted to African & Caribbean Magazine (ATAC Mag), raised a total sum of $2,088.08 through its “Built For Haiti” campaign from July 2010 – January 2011. In February 2011, 54 Kingdoms’ C.E.O., and President traveled to Haiti with the Edeyo team to make this charitable donation and help develop new curriculum and after school activities for the students. Today, 54 Kingdoms remains a devoted supporter and partner of the Edeyo Foundation.

Free Generation International

Free Generation InternationalAs advocates for Human Rights, 54 Kingdoms has formed an alliance with Free Generation International (FGI); an abolitionist organization committed to addressing capacity gaps in the field of human trafficking in Africa. FGI works at the Pan-African, Regional and National levels to address trafficking in a culturally-relevant, responsive and sustainable manner. FGI’s programs heavily focus on African youth—FGI has developed innovative training tools, education materials and technology to empower young Africans to assume leadership roles in the fight against modern-day slavery on the continent. In our support of humanity free from all forms of human trafficking and slavery-like practices, 54 Kingdoms and FGI will collaborate on numerous t-shirt campaigns exclusively designed by 54 Kingdoms for FGI to increase public awareness especially among the youth.
